PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — From the bigger floofs to the smaller, hairless ones, cats from across East Tennessee had a purr-fect time at the Volunteer Cat Club's Cat Show in Pigeon Forge.
There were 39 different breeds that competed in five different cat-egories.
They don't run around rings like dogs. They're mostly judged for their appearance based on breed standards.
Vanadis Crawford, who helped organize the event, has been going to cat shows for 27 years.
"It's a wonderful, wonderful hobby. One thing, I've been doing this since 1992. I literally have made friends all over the world as well as learn so much about all these wonderful felines," Crawford said.
It's the largest show in the International Cat Association's southeast region.
