Big Ears announces 2025 lineup

The four-day festival will occur from March 27 to March 30 of next year.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Mark your calendars for next year-- Big Ears is returning to Knoxville! 

The Big Ears Music Festival will return to downtown Knoxville from March 27 to March 30, 2025. The annual four-day event will include nearly 200 performances from music artists of various genres. 

According to the festival's website, the event will feature performances, pop-up events, exhibitions, films and more at various sites throughout historic downtown Knoxville. Sites include restored historic theaters, refurbished warehouse spaces, museums, galleries and other nooks and crannies of the city. 

Featured artists at the upcoming show include AHONI and the Johnsons, Tyshawn Sorey, Jessica Pratt, Michael Hurley and hundreds of others. For the full lineup schedule, click here

In a rare occurrence, Big Ears says, all event venues this year will be within walking distance of several hotels and restaurants with a dedicated festival trolley service for concertgoers. According to the festival's Facebook page, access to preferred rates on hotels near the festival will be available will be available thanks to a partnership with Visit Knoxville. 

"While no two Big Ears are quite the same, each year the festival presents many of the world’s most visionary composers and musicians, artists whose work reaches for new heights and expands to new frontiers." Big Ears said. "The programming transcends generation and genre—bringing together iconic trailblazers and young iconoclasts performing and sometimes blending classical and contemporary composition, jazz, rock, folk traditions from throughout the world, pop, drone, avant-garde, ambient and beyond."

Pre-sale tickets will be available for purchase on Sep. 10 and 11 before the general public sale on Sept. 12. Buyers can purchase either four-day or single-day passes for the festival.
