10About Time Things to Do: Oct. 19 through Oct. 25

Here are some events taking place in Knoxville from Thursday, Oct. 19 through Wednesday, Oct. 25.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. —

Thursday

Enjoy haunted historical walking tours from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. during Sevierville's History and Haunts event. In addition to the tours, there will be Halloween music, a costume contest, storytelling, kids' games and crafts, a vendor booth, fireworks and more. 

Disney on Ice is happening at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum throughout the weekend. The show will feature Mickeys Search Party—an adventure filled with world-class skating, high-flying acrobatics and unexpected stunts. You can buy tickets here. 

Friday

The St. George Greek Orthodox Church is hosting Greek Fest throughout the weekend. There will be plenty of Greek food, dance shows, tours and more. Tickets are $3 per adult or you can buy a weekend pass for $5 and children under 12 are free. The festival hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. 

Hi-Wire Brewing is hosting The Demon Drag of Barber Street, a Halloween drag show and costume contest. Enjoy the show and a costume contest for the best-dressed guests judged in three categories with prizes for the funniest costume, the scariest costume and the cutest costume. This event is 18+ only and you can buy your tickets in advance or at the door.

Saturday

Join an Ijams naturalist from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for an immersive workshop where you’ll learn the basics of fungi and lichen anatomy, identification and their pivotal role in our ecosystems. Tickets are $15 and you can buy them here.

Clinton is hosting "Touch A Truck" at 10 a.m. at Jaycee Park. This event will teach children fire safety and allow them to explore a fire truck up close. There will be a drone demo, a K-9 demo, a vehicle extrication demo and a controlled burn. 

Thorn Grove Christian Church is hosting a fall market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be food trucks, a farmers market, local artists selling crafts and pumpkin painting. 

Sunday

The Mood Ring Vintage Fall Market is happening at Hi-Wire Brewing from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be over 25 vintage and handmade vendors and live music. 

UT Gardens Knoxville is hosting the HowlOWeen Pooch Parade and Pet Expo from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This fun event with a spooky twist includes a judged costume parade for dogs, an expo of educational booths, pet businesses, and rescue groups, food trucks and more.

Monday

Monroe County Prevention and Wellness Coalition is hosting the "Here for the Boos, not the Booze" event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Memorial Park in Madisonville. This underage alcohol prevention education event will have crafts and activities, a costume contest, resource booths and more. 

Tuesday

Ijams Sunset Social is hosting "A Night of Haunted Tales" from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It's time for pumpkins, bonfires and some haunted tales to share. The Smoky Mountain Storytellers Association is comprised of folks who love telling, listening to and rejoicing in our rich heritage of stories. Tickets for children are $5 and adult tickets are $ 10. 

Wednesday

The Printshop Beer Co. is hosting the Pints with Patriots Veterans Social from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This social will feature food, fun and friendship. All veterans in attendance will receive a meal voucher for Kennedy's Grill, thanks to Rocky Top Bourbon Charity.
