MARYVILLE, Tenn. — A bicycle safety course this weekend will walk riders through the proper steps before spinning their wheels.
The Smart Cycling Course is set for this Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Blount County Public Library in Maryville.
It includes tips and techniques to increase the benefits of bicycling while staying safe.
Participants will learn vehicular cycling, also known as bicycle driving. It is the practice of riding bicycles on roads the same way as driving cars in traffic.
The course is two sections combining online instruction with parking lot and on-road practice of vehicular bicycling principles.
