PIGEON FORGE, Tenn — Dollywood's Splash Country is opening for the 2018 summer season Saturday, May 19, with deals on tickets and park upgrades.
In honor of the park's 18th season, there will be cosmetic improvements such as new landscaping, more shaded areas, and new paint. There will also be new lounge chairs throughout the park, as well as the option to rent Luxury Loungers, Retreats, and canopy areas. In order to cut down wait times, the park will now feature new self-serve ticket kiosks.
Dollywood's Splash Country General Manager Janet Dawson said the changes were made due to guest feedback and suggestions.
Other upgrades are aimed toward making the park more accessible. Dollywood's Splash Country is adding aquatic wheel chairs and adult changing tables. The park already has a calming area and accessibility tubes.
Guests can expect new events and attractions, such as Too Hot Tuesdays that will feature a DJ on the wave pool deck and other interactive games in the park throughout the summer.
New menu items will also be available at Dollywood's Splash Country. A wider range of Tex-Mex options, Loaded Tots, and a Cookie Dough Dream flavored milkshakes are some of the newest additions.
Dollywood's Splash Country will be open daily until August 12. After that, the park will be open Tuesday, Thursdays, and weekends until Labor Day on September 3.
