KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Sevier County Fair is in town Aug. 27 to Sept. 2.
Admission is $6 for adults and free for children 10 and under. You can purchase unlimited ride wristbands for $20.
This year's theme is "AGsperience, a look back in time."
The gates open at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, and the fair's opening day festivities include a checker playoff, the Fairest of the Fair Pageant and a Bubble Gun Blowing Contest.
There are numerous competitions throughout the week including an 'Under Pressure: One Pot Meal' challenge on Wednesday and a wing eating contest on Thursday. There's even a Dolly-look-alike contest.

The fair is located at the Sevier County Fairgrounds at 754 Old Knoxville Highway in Sevierville.
