As colder temperatures move in, here's a look at the events happening around town this weekend (Nov. 16-19).

Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017:

Knoxville Food Truck Park & Market returns Thursday, Nov.16 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. in the parking lot of the Southern Railway Station at 306 West Depot Street, in Downtown. There will be a variety of food trucks, music and a full bar provided by Blue Slip Winery and Bistro. Admission is free.

The Domino Ensemble will present its “Purple Ego” show Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Modern Studio located at 109 West Anderson Ave. The group will perform a special selection of original content with showcasing electronics and improvising. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students who present an ID and are only available at the door.

New Harvest Park Farmers Market will host their final farmer’s market of the season on Nov. 16. The Market will specialize in Thanksgiving goodies and be held from 3 p.m to 6 p.m.

Getting you into the holiday spirit, Back Porch Mercantile Grand Opening and Christmas Open House will be held Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Orangery Restaurant located on Homberg Drive. The event will consists of two open trunk shows featuring Lenny and Eva jewelry and Grandmother’s Buttons jewelry. Door prizes, food and discounts will be plentiful. The event is free to attend.

Friday, Nov. 17, 2017:

The Knoxville Flea Market season kick off is this Friday and run through the weekend at the Knoxville Expo Center! Doors open at 3 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Market will run every weekend, Friday through Sunday until Dec. 17. More than 300 vendors from across the region will be in attendance showcasing a variety gifts, clothing, food and more! Free admission and parking plus a little something for the whole family.

Support your local Knoxville Ice Bears this Friday at 7:30 as they take on the Fayetteville Marksmen. Tickets start at just $9 for youth with a variety of seating options. For more information you can visit KnoxvilleIceBears.com.

Take a short trip to the North Pole this Friday as Light’s Up transforms into Santa’s Workshop at the Pinnacle at Turkey Creek. Presented by Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union you can expect an assortment of family fun with face painting, ice carving and food vendors. Special performances from local entertainers as well as photos with Santa and the lighting of the Christmas tree. While admission is free, attendees are encouraged to bring donations for the Mission of Hope Knox.

Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017:

Santa is coming to town! This Saturday meet Santa for his arrival at the Knoxville Center Mall. Photos begin at 9 a.m. and will run all day until 10 p.m.

Ober Gatlinburg Snow Tubing Park opens for the season Saturday at 11 a.m. The park is expected to be open daily from until the spring and includes fun for all ages. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance or the day of. Tubing sessions last for 90 minutes. For more information you can call (865) 436-5423 or visit obergatlinburg.com/tubing.

The cold weather may bring holiday cheer but it also means the end of the Market Square Farmers' Market. This Saturday Market Square will host its final market of the season. The event starts at 9 a.m. and will run until 2 p.m. Admission is free with free parking available on Locust St., Walnut St. and State Street Garages. There will be a smaller holiday and winter market.

Tri-Star Comic Con is at Bridgewater Place this Saturday and Sunday. The event kicks off Saturday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The event will have activities, comics and toys for all ages. Local celebrities will be in attendance as well as WWE Hall of Fame Wrestler Ted The Million Dollar Man and Robin Shelby of Ghostbusters. Tickets range from $8 to $100 and can be purchased online at tristarcomiccon.com.

Keep Blount County Beautiful will host its annual America Recycles Day Saturday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at First Baptist Maryville. Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017:

Knoxville native and member of Grammy Nominated band NEEDTOBREATHE Josh Lovelace returns to his hometown Sunday at 3 p.m. to perform his first children’s album, Young Folk. The concert is kid friendly and will include song from the album as well as something for the whole family to enjoy. Tickets start at $6 and are available at knoxbijou.com.

Lewis Black is bringing his comedic, Rant, White and Blue tour to Knoxville on Sunday starting at 7 p.m. at the Tennessee Theatre. Tickets can be purchased here, at the Tennessee Theatre Box office or over the phone at 800-745-3000. Tickets start at $38.
