KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Emilie Rae Cochrane joined the WBIR 10Sports team as a multi-skilled sports journalist in 2023.

In May of 2023, she graduated from Temple University with a degree in broadcast journalism. While in Philadelphia, she spent three years covering Temple athletic teams as a reporter and anchor for OwlSports Update, a weekly live sports show run by Temple students. Emilie had the opportunity to anchor and create stories for TUTV's 45-minute, award-winning live television show "Inside the Nest," which covers and analyzes Temple Football.

At Temple, she also served as President of Temple's Sports Media Society for Women, a member of Temple's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, a proud honors college student, and a four-year member of the Temple Cheerleading team.

Outside of school, Emilie worked as a Studio Production Intern at NFL Films in Mount Laurel, N.J., while also serving as a sideline reporter for The Sports Fan Base Network (SFBN) and Drexel University Basketball.

Since her sophomore year, Emilie has been awarded several production awards in and out of Temple. She is a 2021 Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Award Winning Journalist in the College Sports Category and a 2022 IBS Media Award winner for participating in the Best Sports Program.

Emilie lives about 25 minutes from Philadelphia and grew up around Philly sports culture her entire life. She is thrilled to start telling similar stories in the Knoxville area and is excited to grow in this new role!
