Out of the loop today? We've got what you missed

It's not time to roll the credits yet

It's not time to roll the credits yet

But it's time to line up a designated driver. Tonight is your last chance to play a State of the Union drinking game during the Obama administration. In his final annual report to Congress, President Obama won't deliver the usual pitch, but instead will reflect on his presidency and the generation that grew up during it. (Hmm. Maybe a not-too-subtle prod for them to vote Dem in '16?)  Here's everything you need to follow the action, and don't forget to watch for these six things. Oh, and keep your eye out for a cameo appearance by America’s favorite county clerk, Kim Davis. (Remember her?)

Alabama won ... and now there's eight months until another college football game

So yeah, it was an exciting game. The biggest game of the year, and Alabama won it — 45-40, over Clemson, for the national title. Roll Tide, and all that. Now the harsh reality sets in: We have to wait almost a year before there's another college football game. (Cal plays Hawaii on Aug. 27, not that we've got the date circled on a calendar or anything.) USA TODAY Sports columnist Nancy Armour has already put together a wish list for the 2016 season. Wants1) Stability at USC, where Steve Sarkasian's personal problems wreaked havoc this year. 2) SEC East, stop being so meh. 3) Ohio State, please pick one and only one quarterback. 4) Bowl games, don't be so boring. 5) And for the love of Pete, ditch the New Year's Eve semis. Here’s USA TODAY Sports' final report card for all 128 teams in college football.

A dude on the lam in Ohio hated his mugshot — so he sent the cops a selfie

We'll call this some epic trolling. An Ohio fugitive texted police a photo of himself after seeing them post a mugshot he found unflattering. "Here is a better photo that one is terrible," Donald "Chip" Pugh, 45, said in the text, attaching a selfie of himself in a blazer and gold-rimmed shades. Un-freaking-believable. Police say Pugh is a person of interest in vandalism and arson cases. "We thank him for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come speak to us ... about his charges," the Lima Police Department said.

Cheap airfare might become a thing if airlines keep offering cheap airfare

WOW is right. The Icelandic carrier's cheap flights from the West Coast to Iceland and Europe went on sale Tuesday. Travelers from Los Angeles and San Francisco will find fares as low as $99 to Iceland and $199 to mainland European destinations. The catch? Every. Thing. Else. is going to cost you. Only fliers with less than 11 pounds in carry-on weight and willing to take a seat assignment at the counter can fly fee-free. Spirit and Allegiant have brought that strategy into the mainstream in the U.S. On WOW's $199 connecting flights from the West Coast to London, for example, a flier could pay an extra $143 in fees, including $76 for a checked bag and $67 for a seat with extra legroom. But hey, made you look!

Meet Peach. We're mostly sure this isn't the next Ello

We're Here to share, Shout and Draw all about the new iOS app that's burning up Apple's App Store charts: Peach. (Because we don't have enough social networks.) You probably heard about it over the weekend, but in case you didn't, Peach is the app launched Thursday by Vine co-founder Dom Hofmann. What makes it different? Magic Words, special commands that add unique updates like GIFs. (And really, nothing conveys our truest emotions quite like a GIF, amirite?) If you have an iPhone, download it now for a test drive. Sorry, Android users. You'll have to wait.

If you only read one thing: The FDA is considering a new, implantable treatment for heroin and painkiller addiction.
