Nintendo bringing back the NES in mini form

A blast from the 80s, just in time for the holiday season!

Nintendo announced it is launching “The Nintendo Classic Mini” - a smaller version of the popular '80s gaming console.

To make it even better, it’ll have some of its best games preloaded, CNET reports.

Nintendo made the official announcement on its Facebook page early Thursday morning.

Instead of using those old cartridges we used to blow into, it comes with numerous games built-in. And there will be no coaxial cables coming out of the back of this console, it’ll use the current standard: HDMI.

CNET reports it’ll come with one controller, but you can buy a second one to play with your friends. You can also hook up a Wii controller.

It's scheduled to go on sale on Nov. 11 for $60.

Nintendo said the following 30 games will be preloaded:

  • Balloon Fight™

  • BUBBLE BOBBLE
