American swimmers can learn to dominate the breaststroke. Apparently, old dogs can learn new tricks.

Josh Prenot won a silver medal in the 200-meter breaststroke Wednesday night, adding to an impressive total for the U.S. Olympic team. He finished in 2 minutes, 7.53 seconds, .07 seconds behind gold medalist Dmitriy Balandin of Kazakhstan.

Prenot is a first-time Olympian. U.S. teammate Kevin Cordes was eighth.

Cody Miller won bronze in the 100 breaststroke on Sunday. A day later, Lilly King and Katie Meili became the first American women to both medal in the 100 breaststroke in the same Games.
