Grace Christian basketball wins first-ever state championship

The Grace Christian boys basketball team won it's first ever state title with a 46-44 win over Webb School of Knoxville.

Down by as much as 11 points in the first half, the Rams came back in the third quarter. An early 5-0 run would tie it, but darkness stopped them in their tracks. No, the lights literally went out in the arena causing about a 30 minute delay of game.

Eventually it was back to business and Webb would be back on top heading into the final quarter.

GCA fought back though, Rams big Baylor Younker terrorized anyone who neared the hoop. The senior finished with a team high 7 blocks, 13 rebounds. The senior was emotional after the big win.

The Spartans finished runner up, but Head Coach Jeff Mitchell is still proud of his team.
