Tennessee has moved quickly to fill the vacancy on its coaching staff created by the departure of running backs coach Robert Gillespie.
Former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Chris Weinke, who spent the past year as an offensive analyst at Alabama, is expected to be the new running backs coach for the Vols, sources close to the situation told GoVols247 on Wednesday night.
Weinke was the head coach at the talent-rich IMG Academy in Florida for five seasons (2010-14) before spending two seasons with the NFL's St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams as their quarterbacks coach.
