10 News WBIR Reporter Rachel Wittel was one of several local personalities who took part in the 2016 Dancing for the Horses to benefit Horse Haven of Tennessee Saturday night.
Horse Haven works to rescue abused or neglected horses and rehabilitate them so that they might find homes.
"There is tremendous joy when those horses are healed and they're re-homed. And what really excites me is to be helping load a horse in a trailer" said Terry Holley, the Executive Director of Horse Haven of Tennessee.
Rachel competed on behalf of WBIR this year. She represented the only donkey, named Perseus.
She won "best dance performance" taking home a score of 28 out of 30 from the judges.
