The remains of a missing 36-year-old woman have been found in the Speedwell community.
According to the Knoxville Police Department, Nakisha Scott was reported missing by family members in May. Authorities launched on investigation on May 30.

On Saturday, Dec. 2, the Campbell County Sheriff's Office was notified of the discovery of human remains in the Speedwell Community. TBI and Campbell County Sheriff's Office personnel recovered the remains and transported them to the Knox County Regional Forensic Center, according to KPD.
On Dec. 6, it was determined that the remains were Scott's. The cause of death is undetermined at this time. It will be released once the medical examiner has made a ruling.
Scott, who lived on Elk Hill Way, was last seen walking toward her husband's residence on Brookside Avenue on May 28. The couple had been married for 10 months, though investigators said they had been separated for six of those months.
