Pay It Forward: Students raise money for veterans, Honor Air

The service club hopes to send four veterans on the flight, which would cost around $2,000.

Students at the Episcopal School of Knoxville are raising money for the Honor Air flight in April.

The Eighth Grade Interact Club sells chicken biscuits each Friday before school.

Through this project, the eighth graders are partnering with their kindergarten class.

Part of the kindergarten curriculum is to count change, so they will count what is left over from biscuit sales each week.

"I think it is great that our community will embrace what we're trying to do and support a good cause," said Davis Pearson, president of the Eighth Grade Interact Club.

Students will be selling biscuits every Friday until they reach their goal.
