One man was injured after a reported explosion set a home on fire in Cumberland County.
The Cumberland County Fire Department was called to a house in the Foxfire subdivision on Roma Drive, just outside the Crossville city limits, Monday evening at 8:19, according to Assistant Fire Chief John Hall.
Firefighters arrived eight minutes later to find the home fully engulfed in flames.
Nearly three dozen firefighters battled the fire for about five hours, but the home was a total loss.
A man in his 40's was injured in the fire. He was taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment but Hall did not know how seriously he was hurt.
Multiple witnesses claimed there was an explosion before the fire, but investigators are not sure yet what started it. Because of the injured man, they've asked for assistance from state bomb and arson to determine the cause.
