Knoxville — Water damage forced a downtown business to close while fire crews from the Knoxville Fire Department were responding to the building for a small kitchen fire on the third floor on Sunday night.
A sign on the door of Maple Hall on Gay Street had said the bar and bowling alley is closed until further notice. It had reopened for its normal business hours as of Monday.
The fire activated the building's sprinkler system, which sent lots of water into the building.
Maple Hall is in the basement of that building.
