New Market Fire responded to a house fire on Pinecrest Lane Saturday afternoon.
The fire crews got to the house around 1:20 p.m. Rural Metro and Northview Kodak Fire assisted New Market Fire with the house fire, as well. 20 firefighters were at the scene.
Captain Sammy Solomon with New Market said two people were inside the home at the time and were able to get out of the home safely.
Oxygen was administered to a cat that was rescued from inside of the home.
Captain Solomon said one dog did not survive in the fire.
New Market Fire worked to help clean-up the debris at the home after the fire.
