As we welcome 2018, we also say good bye to 2017.
And though there were a lot of positives, we can always do with fewer negatives.
Folks at Market Square in Knoxville didn't hold back.
They decided to trash and burn political rants, fear of failure and much more.
The negativity had to go!
After all -- new year, new beginnings.
The Knoxville Fire Department helped burn everything safely.
And as far as what the firefighters are looking to trash and burn?
"I guess if there were something we would burn, it would have to be the 2017 football season at UT," KFD Capt. D.J. Corcoran said.
Because we all need to burn away the bad, and welcome the good for 2018.
