Delta Hotels by Marriott announced Tuesday that it will convert the Knoxville Marriott hotel into a Delta Hotels by Marriott. It will be the first one of its kind to open in the State of Tennessee.

“We are delighted to welcome this new hotel into the Delta Hotels family,” said Gregory Durrer, Global Brand Leader Delta Hotels by Marriott.

According to the release, owner and management company, I Square Management, LLC, out of Little Rock, Arkansas, will transform the hotel with a multimillion dollar renovation expected to restore the soaring 12 story lobby, guest rooms and all convention and public space.

Some of the renovations include a 24-hour fitness center, the current hours are limited to Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., with touch screen technology on all equipment.

It will also include dog walk areas, an outdoor fire pit, and a new outdoor wedding garden and gazebo, according to the release.

While the hotel will be pet-friendly, Delta Hotels by Marriott said there will be permanent allergy-friendly rooms.
