Several schools have announced they will be closed on Friday due to winter weather and icy roads across East Tennessee.
Cocke County, Grainger County, and Union County will be closed on Jan. 18. Click here to see the full list of school closures.
Knox County schools will operate on a 2-hour delay.
North Etowah Baptist Church has no evening activities Thursday. LTVEC has postponed its awards banquet until Jan. 25.
Friday is expected to be mostly sunny and warmer! The high will be closer to average in the middle 40s with light southwesterly wind, and should melt most of the remaining snow that's lingering in shaded areas the sun can't reach. Lows will be in the 20s Friday night.
