Crossville police officers will soon have some new life-saving equipment.
The department has purchased 12 Epinephrine Auto-Injectors (EpiPens) that officers will have on had to treat people suffering from life-threatening allergic reactions, with the help of the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation.
The pens will be on the streets in the next few weeks, as soon as the officers complete their training.
The Crossville Police Department is among the first agencies in the state and the country to provide this service.
