Boy with terminal brain cancer delivers toys to kids at Oishei

9 year-old Sebastian Bradley spent the last few months collecting brand new Lego sets for sick kids, despite his own battle with brain cancer. Wednesday was his first delivery day!

Wednesday was the big day for a little boy from Williamsville who wants to bring joy to kids at Oishei Children's Hospital.

Nine-year-old Sebastian Bradley has spent the last few months collecting Lego sets for sick kids, despite his own battle with brain cancer.

He, with the help of family and friends, delivered 288 brand new Lego sets to the hospital. It took hospital staff two gurneys to wheel them into Oishei.

"It's remarkable," admits Sebastian. "I can't believe I'm actually doing this! All these kids are just like me. One has cancer. Another one has cancer. I just feel so proud of myself that I'm giving away these toys for them."

Back in December, when Channel 2 first talked with Sebastian about why he's doing this, he explained that he understands what sick kids have to go through. And Lego sets helped keep him occupied during some long and painful hospital visits. His mom even said it helped with his rehabilitation after brain surgery.

Sebastian says he also wants to share his favorite toy with others, to give back for all the support he's gotten from the community.

Oishei Children's Hospital agreed to his idea, calling the effort, "Sebastian's Lego Club."

"I think it's really cool to see him interact with other kids," said Dr. Stephen Turkovich, Oishei's Chief Medical Officer. "Kids know what other kids are going through. and so they can really relate on their level. And that's something only kids can give to other kids."

Sebastian and his family say they're just so grateful to the community for making Sebastian's dream come true, especially considering his condition is declining. His mom tells Channel 2 they recently stopped Sebastian's cancer treatments and decided to just enjoy the time he has left.
