The Legacy Parks Foundation held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Baker Creek Play Forest Wednesday.
The ribbon cutting was at 2:30 p.m. The Play Forest, which is in the heart of Knoxville’s Urban Wilderness, is connected by trail to Baker Creek Preserve and South Doyle Middle School.
Legacy Parks Foundation, Trinity Health Foundation, Mayor Madeline Rogero, Superintendent Bob Thomas, teachers, students, and neighbors are encouraged to attend the ceremony marking the grand opening of the first play area in the region designed to get middle school aged students more active.
