School officials confirmed McMinn County High School math teacher Chet Fulton is no longer with the school district.
Officials investigated his conversations with a female student over the social media platform Snapchat.
The district attorney will not file any criminal charges in the case.
School officials say they will not tolerate any inappropriate communication initiated by teachers toward students.
