A man who escaped from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections in 2002 has been arrested in Knoxville, according to Knoxville police.
KPD said officers responded to a disturbance at a business in the 900 block of Oak Hill Avenue around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, where they found a man who apparently was not who he claimed to be.
Officers said they learned the man was on the Oklahoma 15 most wanted list, and arrested 63-year-old Augustus King on a fugitive from justice warrant.
King is being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility while he awaits an extradition hearing.
