ONEIDA, Tenn. — A 23-year-old man from Somerset, Kentucky was found in the water at Yahoo Falls on Friday, according to a release from National Park Service rangers. He was identified as Isaac Lee Turpin.
Authorities said park visitors reported finding a dead person in the Kentucky area of Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area.
National Park Service rangers responded to the report along with McCreary County deputies, the Emergency Management Director, and the Coroner’s Office. The release also said the Whitley City Fire Department and Ambulance Service, U.S. Forest Service and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife helped respond.
