Army's STEM vehicle exhibit to visit Knoxville

The Army’s STEM vehicle, which is an interactive Science, Technology, Engineering and Math exhibit, will be here Nov. 14 through Nov. 16.

One of the U.S. Army’s new mobile exhibits is set to visit Knoxville-area schools next week.

The Army’s STEM vehicle, which is an interactive Science, Technology, Engineering and Math exhibit, will be here Nov. 14 through Nov. 16.

According to a release, the exhibit is designed to showcase hi-tech capabilities and opportunities within the Army while generating quality leads for local recruiters.

“We’re very happy to have the STEM vehicle in the Knoxville area,” Capt. Andrew Deel said.

Deel commands the Knoxville U.S. Army Recruiting Company.

There is a series of 3 different rooms as part of the STEM experience. The entire experience through the situation room, mission room, and research and development room takes approximately 15 minutes.

“This is an impressive display, and to land an appearance in this area will really help us show a side of the Army the public doesn’t always see," Deel said.

The STEM vehicle’s first appearance will be at the L & N STEM Academy on Henley Street on Nov. 14.

Exhibit times are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
