Santa delivered some gifts to the inmates at Sullivan County Jail Friday afternoon.
Sheriff Wayne Anderson dressed as Santa and distributed hygienic supplies to the inmates. Much of the supplies was donated by local churches and individuals wanting to send a bit of Christmas cheer to them and remind them people care.
A video was posted on the Sullivan County Facebook page and has received more than 100,000 views with Santa handing out the goody bags. Many people in the comments said, "Everyone deserves a little Christmas blessing," and "... Everybody deserves a second chance."
The inmates welcomed Santa with "Jingle Bells" before he entered. They all bowed their heads in prayer as well, thankful for the goodies.
