ROANOKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Being polite has it's perks...and in this case it can keep a few bucks in your wallet a little bit longer.
After rude customers filled the store at CUPS coffee & Tea in Roanoke, one barista decided to create a new pricing model.
The sign says, "one small coffee" is $5, "one small coffee, please" is $3, and "hello I'd like one small coffee please" is $1.75.
According to ABC affiliate, WSET, the owner, Olivia Byrd says the pricing model is just a joke and no one has actually paid the $5, but says since the sign went up, people are being a bit more polite.
