As the holiday season arrives, here's a look at events happening around East Tennessee this weekend (Nov. 23-26).

Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017:

"Over the River and Through the Woods" is the theme for this year's Fantasy of the Trees presented by East Tennessee Children's Hospital. The event will be held through Sunday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the Knoxville Convention Center. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 4-12 and free for children under 3!

Friday, Nov. 24, 2017:

Kick off the Holidays with the Regal Celebration of Lights in Market Square! The Event is from 5:30 until 9 p.m. and is free to attend! There will be games, food, music and more!

Get ready to skate your way into the holiday spirit! Holidays on Ice is back in Market Square. The rink officially opens at 10 a.m., and is welcoming to all ages! Tickets are $11 for adults, and kids 12 and under are $8.

Get your thinking caps ready the only Community Wide "The Elf on the Shelf" Scavenger Hunt in the country, and it's right here in Knoxville. The event starts Friday at 10 a.m., but will go all season until Sunday, Jan. 7! Participants can visit more than two dozen shops in Knoxville to collect their stamps and the more stamps, the greater the chance of winning a prize.

Come support your local Ice Bears as they take on the Roanoke Rail Yard Dogs this Friday night at 7:35 p.m. at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. The event them is "Black Out" so be sure to dress up!

Saturday, Nov. 25:

It's not the Polar Express, but it's close! The Three Rivers Rambler Christmas Lantern Express will begin their seasonal rides this Saturday. The Lantern Express will run through Dec. 23 with ticket prices varying on age. Parking is free and accessible.

Save the Date! Small Shop Saturday, this Saturday at the Southern Market! The market opens at 10 a.m. and will be open until 6 p.m. at 5400 Homberg Drive. More than 40 local businesses and 50 artists will be in attendance. The event is free to attend.

The Open Cord will be hosting the Kincaid Band this Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8 and the concert is for all ages!

Sunday Nov. 26:

Need to unwind after the holiday madness? This Sunday enjoy the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra as they perform "Classical Christmas" at the Bijou Theater at 2:30 p.m. Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased from the Bijou's website.
